Welcome to Mindjakk Studio's Independent Axis page.

We want you to submit your short films, music videos, art displays, and anything else that falls into the independent realm, so that we may air and expose it on Independent Axis.

Independent Axis is a television show dedicated to showing the material of the artist and providing its viewers with all things independent, local and national. The show is on WTAP TV 15, Digital 49, an NBC affiliate located in the Mid-Ohio Valley, with approximatly 80,000 households and plans to take it to a national level soon. It will air Sarturday night/Sunday morning at 1:00 AM following SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE.

If you would like your material considered, here is what you need to know.


Entries

1. All entries will be required to sign a waiver that permits MDS and WTAP to use their artwork, royalty-free for as long as they deem fit, as well as a music license release form stating the ownership and right to use any piece of music in the artwork.

2. Entries can be sent in the following formats

    -Data Disc (CD or Standard DVD)
    -VHS Tape
    -Beta SP Tape
    -MiniDV
    -DVCPro
The physical entry will not be returned to the sender. So please send your submission in a format you do not need returned, thank you.

3. If possible please include any bio information about the people responsible for the artwork so that we may use it in the show as well as any other footage you might like reviewed, such as behind the scenes clips.

4. There is no guarantee that an entry will be shown, but all will be considered and could possibly be used later in festivals, live showings, or other such events.

5. Mindjakk Digital Studios/WTAP must receive all entries at least one week before scheduled air date of a specific show to be considered for that show.


Content

1. There is no genre specific content required, all styles and stories are welcomed.

2. All content will be regulated to comply with both FCC regulations and WTAP standards for use on the television show. Art with unacceptable content for television will still be considered for other uses such as festivals, live showings and so on, but will not be shown on television.

3. Mindjakk Digital Studios/WTAP reserves the right to edit or eliminate sections or an entire program if it feels in the company's best interest. This will not be a first choice but we reserve the right for possible content regulations.

4. Content will include, but not limited to, films and videos, music and play performances, art galleries and featured artists.

While it is our intent to release a DVD of Independent Axis following the first season, Independent Axis is currently available only on VHS.

Since the show is now a non-profit venture done for our undying love of independent art, if you would like a copy of a certain episode or copies of episodes, you must obtain one through our outside vendor, Tape Five.

Just send a check or money order in the amount of $12.00, which includes S&H, to the address below. State which show or shows you would like copies of. Include your name and address. As the season progresses we will post show numbers as well as the information about the artwork that was provided for them.

Since VHS copies are simply a way to make shows availabe to those who can not yet view them, address all questions regarding VHS copies to Tape Five.
